Gothic rose-window dice. A raised gold tracery rose crowns the faces, set over jewel-toned glass with silver numerals at the heart of every bloom and gold came running along every edge. Each die takes its own jewel tone: ruby d20 and d2, magenta d12 and d16, wine d10, orchid d%, cerise d8, garnet d6, and plum d4. The d4, d16, and d2 drop the rose so their numerals read full size. Nine dice in all, the full polyhedral set plus a d2 and a d16.

The great rose windows took a generation to glaze. Every petal was leaded in by hand, and the masons who set them rarely lived to see the scaffolding come down. These dice keep the colors those windows threw across a nave floor at evening. Good for paladins, cathedral wardens, inquisitors, and any character who prays before the roll and checks the result anyway.
