A die of pure black obsidian with no numbers on it at all, until it settles. Then the face that lands on top wakes alone, its number glowing violet out of the dark, ringed with a small arcane flourish, while every other face stays black and blank. It reads like a scrying stone answering a question. The number is rendered live, so it lights only on the result and fades as the die turns. The full polyhedral set, plus a d2 and a d16, every one a dark oracle waiting for the cast.

Obsidian like this is cut from glass that cooled in a single night under no moon, so black it shows nothing back but the light you bring to it. Seers keep a set for the way it holds its answer until the last moment, a single rune surfacing from the dark when the die finally stops. Diviners and dark-sworn oracles favor it above brighter stones, for a light that speaks only once and only when asked. Each die is polished by hand until the void is perfect and the glow reads true.
