A body of blackened war-steel, the iron gone dark and mottled where the forge-scale never fully cleaned off, catching a dull gleam on its high edges and falling to shadow in the hollows. The numerals are cut down into the faces in aged antique brass, real recessed geometry carved into the die so the brass sits at the floor of each glyph. The full polyhedral set, plus a d2 and a d16, all forged to match. Heavy, dark, and battle-worn in the hand.

Battleforged steel is reclaimed from blades that broke and held the line anyway, gathered off old fields and worked back into something that remembers the fight. Smiths who take the commission say the iron tempers harder than it has any right to, as if it learned. Warband quartermasters and old campaigners favor it for the weight of it, the sense that it has already been somewhere and come back. Each numeral is set in brass by hand, hammered into steel that has seen use.
