Violet-black anodized steel, polished so the light runs the length of every face and the shoulders fall away into near black. The numerals are cut down into the metal and floored with cool silver. Every glyph is real recessed geometry, carved into the die so the silver sits at the bottom of the cut and flares when the dice tumble. The full polyhedral set, plus a d2 and a d16, forged to match.

Wraithsteel comes off the anvil cold and never warms. The smiths who work it hold that the violet is what the metal takes on when a haunt passes through the forge at the quench, and that an edge drawn from it bites where honest steel slides away.
